Fujifilm PN400N was part of Fujifilm’s professional color negative film lineup, developed during the early 2000s as a successor to the NP series. It was designed with advanced emulsion technology, including the “Fourth Color Layer,” which improved color accuracy under fluorescent lighting—a hallmark of Fujifilm’s innovation in analog film. PN400N offered ISO 400 speed, fine grain, and natural skin tones, making it ideal for portrait and fashion photography. Though not as widely known as its sibling Fujifilm Pro 400H, PN400N was appreciated for its balanced tones and scanning-friendly characteristics. It was distributed primarily in Japan and select Asian markets, and its production was relatively short-lived. By the mid-2010s, Fujifilm began phasing out many of its film stocks, including PN400N, as the company shifted focus toward digital imaging and other industries.
